Other MAP flags

From Paraphilia+ Flags Wiki

This page archives independent alternative map flag designs.

Before June 2018

These are flags, designed before the MAP flag was made.

P-pride

Proposed by the blogger okimochi-philia in 2016[1], this flag is connected to the Japanese MAP-adjacent movement LGBTPZN and color-picked from logos of the manga Ichigo Mashimaro.

Map and ally chevrons

These symbols were made in December 2017 by Lecter. The MAP chevron fell out of use almost immediately, while the ally symbol had a short spike of popularity several months later. Their shape is inspired by heraldic symbolism and signifies protection and overcoming obstacles.

After June 2018

Glimmer and Kankri’s Shield Flags

These flags were created in the second half of 2018 in response to a demand for an alternative to Stenna's map flag. The initial concept belonged to Glimmer, while Kankri is responsible for the lime-colored redesign.

Kankri has also created the following shape variants:

Soft map

The soft map flag was made by a Tumblr blogger sparklythingmap on August 18, 2018. The word "soft" in the name of the flag refers to the flag aesthetic, not the quality of maps who use it.

Kinderfolk

This flag was designed by Steve Diamond on the May 19, 2019. It was connected to the Kind/Kinder identity, a pun on the German word for "child" and the English adjective "kind". It was meant to be an alternative to the main map flag without a non-offending message[1].

Symbol by CinnaMit

This symbol was designed in 2019 by a Twitter map activist CinnaMit, who did not like the main map flag at that point.

Juvenian

These flags were designed by Max in 2021 for the juvenian identity. "Juvenian" is an alternative term for minor/youth attracted person, or an adjective that can be used to describe a minor/youth attracted person. It includes both exclusive and non-exclusive attraction and is meant to be used similarly to "achillean" or "sapphic".

Flags by fluffy-lovey

These flags were made by Tumblr user fluffy-lovey in 2023[2][3].
