Along with many flags, there exist some transage and chronopeculiar symbols.

Cloud system

Infographic explaining the cloud age alignment system

Cloud age alignment system, proposed by The Treehouse System in May 2022 and illustrated by Pappy, describes one's age identity as some combination of being older-to-younger transage (OtY), younger-to-older transage (YtO), ageless or lack of such identity parts. The terms used are based in names of types on clouds.

The following terms are used:

  • Cumulian – older-to-younger.
  • Cirrian – younger-to-older.
  • Stratian – ageless.
  • Cirrocumulian – both older-to-younger and younger-to-older.
  • Cirrostratian – both younger-to-older and ageless.
  • Stratocumulian – both older-to-younger and ageless.
  • Nimbian – younger-to-older, older-to-younger and ageless at the same time.
  • Nebulian – no ties to age norms.

Moon system

Moon age alignment system describes age through moon phases, each of which corresponds to a particular stage of a life.

Moons

  • Yellow waxing crescent moon (🌒) – infancy and and early childhood ("nepio" range).
  • Yellowish green first quarter moon (🌓) – middle stage of childhood ("pedo" range).
  • Green waxing gibbous moon (🌔) – late childhood or early adolescence ("hebe" range).
  • Teal full (🌕) – late adolescence and very young adulthood ("ephebo" range).
  • Blue waning gibbous (🌖) – younger adulthood ("teleio" range).
  • Bluish purple third quarter (🌗) – middle age ("meso" range).
  • Reddish purple waning crescent (🌘) – elder age ("geronto" range).
  • New moon (🌑) – agelessness, or undisclosed age.
  • Smiling crescent (crescent facing down) – ageweird, unusual age experiences.
  • Moon disk with soft shadow on the right – older ages, especially compared to other present symbols.
  • Moon disk with soft shadow on the left – younger ages, especially compared to other present symbols.

The moons may be combined and overlayed with other symbols to represent more complex experiences with age.

To represent the combination of one's chronological and internal age, a sideways hourglass may be used. The left bulb represents one's chronological age, the right one represents internal age.
