Transage jellyfish symbol by Laura.
Jellyfish was chosen for the transage sybolism due to its potentially endless lifespan and therefore not conforming to the human idea of age and life stages. It's also notable that the full lifecycle of a jellyfish includes what can be loosely described as two different childhood and adulthood stages: sexually reproducing adult medusas, planulas (jellyfish larvae), vegetatively reproducing adult polyps and ephyras (juvenile medusas). This further represents unusual ways in which age may work.
